Roosevelt High School Graduation, June 16, 2011

Roosevelt High School’s commencement ceremony was held last night, June 16, 2011 at Memorial Stadium. William H. Gates Sr. was the keynote speaker. We’re happy to report that the evening passed without a drop of rain. Congratulations to the Class of 2011!  

Just a dusting of snow after winter blast rolls through

Although Roosevelt only received a dusting of snow, it did manage to stick itself to the side streets. As of 8:30 a.m., Roosevelt Way looks good, according to the Seattle Department of Transportation cam at NE 75th Street.

As the BIG FIERCE WINTER STORM moved in this afternoon, many neighbors in Roosevelt and Ravenna and other North Seattle ‘hoods reported seeing tiny white balls dropping from the sky. What was this weird weather phenomenon?
