A wide area of North Seattle went dark on Tuesday afternoon, right before a small squall with snow flurries rolled through the area. Power was restored to almost all customers by 5:30pm.

The WSDOT has just started work on a project to automate the closure of the I-5 express lanes. When the project wraps up in February of next year, it will reduce the time it takes for the express lanes to switch direction from one hour to 15 minutes.
