A fire broke out in the 6700 Roosevelt Apartments shortly after 5:00pm Monday afternoon. The cause of the fire was determined to be a lit cigarette which was not disposed of properly. Damage is estimated at $45,000.

Man arrested in Roosevelt after firing shotgun during family dispute

A 26-year-old man is in custody after threatening his family with a shotgun and firing one shot into the air in southwest Roosevelt on Sunday night. Nobody was hurt in the incident.
