Dryer fire in Roosevelt Way home this morning

Fire department responds to a house fire in the 7600 block of Roosevelt Way.

Around 10:40 a.m. this morning, the Seattle Fire Department responded to report of a house fire at the 7600 block of Roosevelt Way NE with more than 14 trucks, blocking traffic in both directions for about 20 minutes.

Two-hour early dismissal for Seattle Schools on Wednesday

Just a reminder that all Seattle Public Schools will dismiss students two hours early on Wednesday, February 2. From a hyperlocal perspective, this means that Roosevelt High School and Eckstein Middle School will dismiss at 12:35 p.m. and Green Lake Elementary School will let students out at 1:30 p.m.
