The Roosevelt Neighborhood Association’s (RNA) Land Use Committee meeting for this Tuesday, March 20 has been canceled, but there are three other land use-related meetings coming up in the next month.

Eat out tonight to benefit the University District Food Bank

Tonight is the 10th Annual Neighborhood Grills Benefit Dinner for the University District Food Bank at the Greenlake Bar & Grill and the Eastlake Bar & Grill. Up to 60% of your bill will be donated to the food bank to help defray costs of purchasing food.

The Grand Illusion Cinema in the University District (but just a short walk from the south end of Roosevelt) is hosting film historian and archivist (and former Seattleite) Dennis Nyback for a weeklong “History of Animation” program. As part of this event, there will be two family-friendly afternoon matinees this weekend.

City Council to hold public hearing about Roosevelt legislative rezone on September 19

This is it, folks — the Seattle City Council’s public hearing on zoning in Roosevelt has finally been set for Monday, September 19 at 6:00 p.m. at Roosevelt High School. Please share the date with your neighbors – it’s critical that we get as many people as possible to show up to the hearing.
