Hide your pets and your smaller children. Depending on which news report you choose to believe, there’s either a 6- or 7-foot long Albino Burmese Python loose in either Ravenna Park or Cowen Park. The snake was last seen by its owner at NE 61st and Brooklyn NE, which is the southwest corner of Cowen Park in Roosevelt.
The snake should be pretty easy to spot. Here’s a picture of an Albino Burmese Python (Note – this is not the actual missing python):
If you spot the snake, don’t try to wrangle it yourself. Call 911 or animal control at 206-386-7387.
