Boo! Rain has delayed the arrival of our shiny new blacktop.

According to the Seattle Department of Transportation:
“The repaving of NE Ravenna Boulevard between NE 65th Street and 15th Avenue NE, which was to include the overnight closure of the 65th Avenue on- and off-ramps to I-5, has been delayed due to rain. Both the ramps had been scheduled to be closed tonight from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Tuesday morning for the paving. The work has been rescheduled for Wednesday, June 6, instead, if weather permits. Both ramps, as well as the NE 50thStreet northbound on-ramp, will close at 10 p.m. on Wednesday and reopen to traffic at 5 a.m. on Thursday morning, June 7.
The repaving of the westbound lanes of NE Ravenna Boulevard (on the north/northeast side of the street) from University Way NE to NE 65th Street has also been delayed. That work had been scheduled to begin today, but has been delayed until Tuesday, June 5 (although could again be delayed if rains persist).”
