As we all struggle to come to terms with the horrific events that unfolded in our neighborhood on Wednesday, our community is coming together to remember the victims and find ways to help their families.
We’ve started a list below. If you know of any other benefits or funds being set up for the victims and their families, please drop us an email (tips@roosiehood.com) or reach out to us on Twitter (@roosiehood).
- There is a “Walk for Love” tonight starting at 8:30 p.m. at Cowen Park in Roosevelt. Details over at Ravenna Blog.
- Ravenna Blog has a beautiful gallery of photos taken by Ravenna resident Steve Sorbo at last night’s candlelight vigil. The vigil went on into the night with music and songs. At one point, a Seattle Police officer stopped by and offered to set up flares in the street to protect the mourners from street traffic.
- The Tractor Tavern and Conor Byrne Pub in Ballard have announced plans to host a benefit concert for the families of the victims.
- The Cafe Racer Benefit Group on Facebook is working to find ways to help the Cafe and the families of the victims.
