Update May 31, 12:34 a.m.: The crowd outside of Cafe Racer is growing, with people playing music, mingling, and drinking. SPD reportedly showed up, not to break up the vigil, but to offer to put flares out to protect the group from oncoming traffic. *sniff* – Thank you, SPD.
Update 11:54 p.m.: The Seattle Times has posted an article with some information about Drew Keriakedes and Joe Albanese, two Roosevelt neighbors and best friends who were killed in the violent attack at Cafe Racer today.
Update 6:11 p.m.: It’s been a really rough day for the Roosevelt neighborhood and rather than rehash everything that’s been posted in the news, we’ve linked to some articles about the incident below. We’ll continue to add to this list as we receive new information.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the staff at Cafe Racer and the families of those who were killed in today’s senseless violence.
You can leave messages for Cafe Racer staff on their Facebook page. We’ll let you know if any funds or accounts are set up for the victims and their families.
