Seattle Parks and Recreation is hosting a public design meeting for the south lot of University Heights Center for the Community on Monday, July 11, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the University Heights Center (5031 University Way NE) in Room 104.

The project is one of 15 community-initiated projects to receive Parks and Green Spaces Levy Opportunity funding. The design team of HBB Landscape Architects and Seattle Parks will present background about the process to date, including input collected from the first public meeting, and present a final design concept. Staff will also continue to gather input from the community about the design of this new neighborhood park.

The goal of the project is to provide an urban community open space accessible for all that is integrated into the overall design of the historic site. The site design accommodates a variety of parks features and recreational uses, while seamlessly integrating the University Heights Center for the Community, University Farmers Market and P-Patch.
