Power outage in Ravenna leaves 840 in the dark

Update (9:53 p.m.) According to KOMO, Seattle City Light has restored power in Ravenna. Still no word on what caused the outage.

(9:47 p.m.) Seattle City Light is working to restore power to 840 homes in the Ravenna and Bryant neighborhoods. No ETA on when power will be restored, nor an explanation of what took it out in the first place. According to neighbors, power in Roosevelt and Green Lake also flickered, but the lights stayed on. We’ll update as we get more information.

Did they ever say what caused it? We were in the outage area. It was very strange – no wind, we could see lights on just a few blocks away, took almost an hour to get it back. I did paperwork by candle- and lantern-light!

What does Seattle Pacific University have to do with the outage? No wonder you never heard back from them.
